Every industrial site in Queensland has hazards you can’t see: airborne dust, chemical vapours, noise, vibration. Someone has to measure them, make sense of the data, and help keep workers healthy. That’s occupational hygiene – one of the fastest-growing health and safety professions in Australia, and most people have never heard of it.
Our Brisbane team is expanding, and we are looking for curious, hard-working people to join us as we grow our team on the East Coast.
What you’ll do
- Plan and run exposure monitoring programs – dust, chemicals, noise and vibration – at client sites
- Collect samples, analyse results and turn data into practical recommendations
- Work on major projects across mining, construction, manufacturing and defence
- Travel to sites across Queensland (up to 14 days a month) from your Brisbane base
Why GCG
- Learn from some of Australia’s most experienced hygienists through structured one-on-one mentoring
- Paid study support, AIOH membership backing and a defined career path
- Competitive salary package and paid birthday leave
- Genuine team culture
- Variety you won’t get in-house: different sites, industries and challenges every week
About you
- Curious about science – comfortable in the field as well as the office
- Organised, detail-oriented and a clear communicator with clients and site personnel
- Reliable and self-motivated
- A degree in science, OHS, environmental health or similar is a bonus, not a requirement
- AIOH membership/eligibility or monitoring equipment experience also a plus
How to apply
Send your CV with a short cover letter telling us why occupational hygiene interests you. We review applications as they arrive.
